A note from Tarina...
In my early 30s I was working a corporate career and raising my three small kids with my husband. I had a lot of outward success but knew that it could be better—I wanted a remarkable life but didn’t know how to achieve it. After reading hundreds of books and going to workshops every few months, I knew I needed the one-on-one support and accountability of an expert to take me to the next level. Despite not having an abundance of money at the time, I saw this step as an investment.
So I took a deep breath, said a prayer and hired a top performance coach to advise me on a strategy and plan to:
- Develop an extremely lucrative career that I was passionate about
- Become the wife, parent, and daughter that I most wanted to be
Coaching gave me the vision, tools, and action-plan to begin my first company, LifeWorks Solutions, which I built on a part-time basis while working in a leadership role at a global pharmaceutical company. After 13 years in the corporate world I left to pursue my dream of being a full-time entrepreneur. Within three weeks of doing so I was working full-time, and by the end of that first year I had tripled my income. Through that first coaching relationship, I also addressed an important issue in my marriage at the time, decided to have my third child and devised a parenting strategy that, with my husband’s collaboration, has resulted in three confident, autonomous, and happy teens.
That first investment changed my life, propelling me to a higher vision of what I could actually experience and become and gave me the tools I needed to get there. Since then I have always hired an expert mentor when facing major personal or professional decisions and goals—there’s simply no more effective way or better investment.
